A bike ride is one of the most enjoyable activities you can do. It’s a moment to feel weightless and free as you cruise along the path in perfect balance.
At Belfast Bike Tours, we know only too well the joy of riding a bike and our love for this hobby has led to us providing riders with a guided tour of Belfast on one of our famous yellow bikes.

We provide a unique experience on two wheels, our tour guides will safely guide you through the cobbled streets and busy footpaths, whilst you embrace the unique culture and beauty of our humble city of Belfast.
Why take a tour of Belfast on a bike?
At Belfast Bike Tours, we aim to create a unique tourist experience that you won’t forget. We ensure that you get to see as much of the city as possible, whilst creating fun memories with your friends and families.
See and do more in your tour of Belfast
Belfast is a bustling city jam-packed with history, culture and scenic landscapes. There is so much to see and do and if you’re only visiting for a short time, it can be quite the challenge to fit everything into one, or a few, days.
With a Belfast Bike Tour, however, you can zoom around the city, taking in the sights and exploring what we have to offer. You can fit a lot more into your visit, as opposed to doing a walking tour or visiting tourist locations individually.
You’ll also gain a more authentic experience of travelling the streets of Belfast, whereas if you opted for a bus or taxi tour, you wouldn’t gain that up close and personal experience that a bike ride tour provides
Tours in Belfast with local guides
All of our tour guides are Belfast locals and they are well-versed in the history and culture of our trendy city. They know the best spots to stop off and they will point out noteworthy attractions and points of interest.
With our tour guides, you won’t miss a thing and as locals to the city, they can share a more authentic and personable experience of the troubled past, the effects it had on generations and the upheavals that Belfast underwent to transform into the trendy city we know today.
Work up an appetite whilst touring Belfast
A bike ride tour is an active activity and one where at the end of the tour, you’ll have worked up an appetite and feel ready to experience some of the delicious Belfast cuisines on offer. Our local tour guides can even recommend some of their favourite spots for a tasty meal and refreshing beverage.
Belfast Bike Tours provides a fun, physical and active touring experience. As a general rule of thumb, we do recommend that a general level of fitness is required, however, we travel at a comfortable pace so that you can take in the sights and enjoy the experience without feeling fatigued.
We always say, “if you can ride a bike it’s for you”.
Small groups for touring Belfast
At Belfast Bike Tours, we only take a maximum of 10 cyclists per hour. This allows our tour guides to deliver a more personable experience and connect with their audience, without anyone feeling as though they have got lost in the group.
You can ask questions, hear commentary and gain an in-depth insight into the cultural and historical background of Belfast. And don’t worry about getting lost, our tour guides will easily spot you on your yellow bike!
See the iconic sights on a Belfast bike tour
Many of the iconic tourist sights of Belfast are right on your doorstep, but if you aren’t local to the area, they can be hard to find. With Belfast Bike Tours, we will visit the iconic landmarks and explore the sightseeing opportunities, giving you a true flavour of the city of Belfast.
Some examples of the iconic sights we will stop at include:
St Georges Market
St. Georges Market is the last surviving Victorian market in Belfast, and to this day it remains a hub of market stalls including; local sellers, arts and craftsmen, fresh produce, unique food vendors, musical entertainment and much more.
This is an experience that will delight all of the five senses and you’ll probably smell the delicious food being served before you have even arrived at the front entrance
Titanic slipways
The Titanic Slipways have become a historical landmark, where the famous Titanic and its sister ship, the Olympic, were built and launched from the neighbouring docks over 100 years ago.
The route around the Titanic Slipways features many historical information boards, where passer-buyers can stop off and learn about the significant past. This route also leads up to the Titanic Visitor centre, which was built as a monument to Belfast’s maritime heritage.
Along this trek, bike riders can also view the impressive and iconic Harland and Wolff cranes, otherwise known as Samson and Goliath, which were instrumental in the construction of the Titanic.
River Lagan
Bike riders will also be able to appreciate the tranquil beauty of the River Lagan, which runs for 53.5 miles and forms a natural border between County Antrim and County Down. This bike route offers a scenic exploration into the idyllic nature of Northern Ireland and creates a wonderful experience of riding alongside the river towpath itself.
The Big Fish
The Big Fish is an iconic landmark in Belfast city centre. It was commissioned in 1999 to celebrate the River Lagan and recognise the historical importance of the location. This 10m salmon is made up of ceramic tiles that each represent a part of NI history and culture.
It is also said that the Big Fish brings magical powers and to kiss in front of it brings good luck, who will you kiss when you visit?
